Four Man Scramble Rules of Play
- Gentlemen are to hit from the WHITE tees; Ladies from the RED tees
- All players in the team hit tee shot, determine best shot location in the team, and pick up other balls. Ball from best shot may be picked up, cleaned & placed
- All players repeatedly hit a shot from best shot location until ball is in the hole
- Players must hit shots within one club length of best shot location through the green, no closer to the hole and in the same lie (e.g., if best shot is in the rough, all players hit from the rough, not the fairway)
- Players must putt from the mark of the best shot when playing on green (fringe is one club length)
- Ball location cannot be altered in hazards (ranking allowed between shots)
- Each team enters a single stroke total for each hole
- Each team must use a minimum of three tee shots from each player in the foursome
- If a team is comprised of a threesome, the team members must go in a sequential rotation of hitting the fourth shot; minimum of four tee shots per player
- Each team to designate a captain to make team decisions regarding selection of best shot
- No "gimmies"
- Tie breaker for lowest team score is most eagles (then most birdies, most pars, if necessary)
