The Eileen Keller Memorial Golf Tournament has raised more than $115,000 over its 9-year history. In 2010, we generated over $15,000 in donations which allows the Make-A- Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles to grant wishes to 2 more children. In 2009, the EKMGT sponsored the wish of Chantz, who was granted his wish to take a family vacation to Alaska. On this trip, Chantz enjoyed Halibut fishing and dog sledding, and also took a fjord cruise and a helicopter ride to a glacier.
This event is a small way to honor the memory and life of our mom each Mother's Day since we lost her to cancer in 2000. She lived and loved from her heart in everything she did and brought happiness to many children through her volunteering and charity. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® was her favorite charity because she knew that granting Wishes provided a gift of love and support to children in need. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
